about THE CO-FOUNDER
Grant co-founded the company that would become VIA Productions in 2003. In the years that followed, Guffin and his team produced 15 nationally distributed documentary films including Nick Saban: Gamechanger, an authorized biography of the legendary Alabama football coach. Other films included authorized biographies of Archie and Eli Manning, Bo Jackson, Ken “Snake” Stabler, and Cam Newton. Guffin also collaborated with Duke University basketball on Banner Year: The Story of the 2010 Duke Blue Devils National Championship.
Guffin has produced hundreds of hours of broadcast programming, advertising, and social media content, including two nationally televised CBS Final Four programs hosted by Greg Gumbel, national TV ads for Coca-Cola, global content for FedEx, sponsored content for ESPN College GameDay, and more. Guffin was part of a team working with NFL quarterback Philip Rivers in the development of content promoting Rivers of Hope, a charitable foundation supporting foster care and adoption programs.Guffin has interviewed some of the most significant figures in recent sports history including Michael Jordan, Joe Namath, Mike Krzyzewski, Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, Tony Dungy, Dale Earnhardt, and Frank Thomas, as well as Rivers, Saban, Jackson, Stabler, and the Mannings.
